Get your medication
If eligible, a clinician will prescribe FDA-affiliated medication. You will have the option to select your own pharmacy or have your medication delivered to your door.

What's the science?
GLP–1 stands for glucagon–like peptide–1, which is a naturally occurring hormone that helps regulate blood glucose (sugar) levels. GLP–1 medications work by mimicking the effects of this hormone in the body. When you eat, your body releases GLP–1, which stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas and helps decrease blood sugar levels. GLP–1 medications also slow down emptying of the stomach, which helps us feel full with less appetite for longer.
What's the science?
Semaglutide (Wegovy®) is a type of GLP–1 medication. Research indicates that GLP–1 medications, in combination with lifestyle changes, are an effective option for long-term sustainable weight loss. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) is a combination of GLP-1 and GIP that is used for medical weight loss, as well. These medications are injected once weekly.

- Have a BMI under 27
- Currently pregnant, possibly pregnant, or actively trying to become pregnant
- Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding with breastmilk
- End-stage kidney disease (on or about to be on dialysis)
- End-stage liver disease (cirrhosis)
- Current or prior eating disorder (anorexia/bulimia)
- Current suicidal thoughts and/or prior suicide attempt
- Cancer (active diagnosis or treatment)
- History of organ transplant on anti-rejection medication
- Severe gastrointestinal condition (gastroparesis, inflammatory bowel disease)
- History of or current pancreatitis

eMed's Supervised Medical Weight Loss Program™ is $99/month. You are responsible for all co-pays associated with medical visits, prescription and labs, therefore total cost may vary based on insurance status and provider.

Subscription Cancellation: We will cancel your subscription immediately. No further fees or payments will be charged. Allow 2 to 5 business days for the refund of your subscription fees. You are still responsible for all co-pays incurred.
