Eco week presentations at Gopal Garden School
The Eco week was observed in Gopal garden school in the week 24th September to 28th September 2012.
As a part of this week Gopal Garden High School in collaboration with OASIS held various presentations on the amazing world of animals for children from Std 1 to std 8.
Std 9 and Std 10 students underwent a training programme in two batches of 3 hours each from OASIS . This training session equipped them with skills required for planning and implementation of presentations. The Senior students were given kits , videos and power-points, posters which they had to use creatively to talk about the fascinating world of endangered animals.
Each presentation started with an icebreaker activity usually a small rhyme and a dance related to the theme animal. This was followed by general videos and power-points on a particular species of animals. Following this was the specific talk on a particular endangered animal supplemented again with videos and power-point. These interesting Audiovisuals kept the students in the audience captivated.
The sessions ended with each student getting a kit which had information related to a particular animal. They also discussed what they could do to help these animals and took a pledge committing themselves to spread awareness by sharing the information they had learned.
